BriefSoft

BriefSoft is a young software company, it was officially registered in Queens, NY in 2009. Though newly registered as a business, it has been a long time in the making. It began as DLMSoft in 2000 with the release of a free software utility - Copy/Paste Clipboard Extender. Copy/Paste enjoyed many thousands of downloads. People found it useful. But it was very limiting: it only supported text; it did not allow saving copies to file; it did not support email, so there was no easy way to share clips; it did not have screen capture.

BriefSoft's first released product is BriefClips Clipboard Extender Unicode. BriefClips is a clipboard extender that helps people organize various clippings, such as screenshots, text or HTML snippets, code, anything into collections of Clips - Clipbooks. BriefClips can take screenshots of any region of your screen with its screen capture tool. BriefClips is fully Unicode, so the text you copy can be in any language. BriefClips will catch and add as a clip anything that you copy from any application, as long as it is in one of four supported formats - bitmap (picture), text, rich text (text with formatting), and HTML.

Click on a clip in the Clipbook and it is copied to the system clipboard, so you can paste it anywhere. This makes BriefClips an ideal place to store your frequently used information - you can just click and paste! Copy/Paste has never been easier.

Once you collected the clips you want, you can save the clipbook, close it, delete individual clips. Any picture clip can be saved as a picture file in 5 formats - bitmap, jpeg, gif, png, and tiff. This allows you to use BriefClips to create screenshots of copies of pictures and save them to a format you need for your Web site, presentation, Word document and much more.

You can email any clip right from BriefClips. So if you want to share something instantly, BriefClips makes it possible.

There is a built-in screen capture feature. Click the Screenshot button and select the area of the screen you want to capture with your mouse. It's just that simple.

BriefClips is a very handy utility, and what's more - you can try it free for 30 days. If it makes your work or studies easier, you can continue using it once you purchase a registration key from BriefSoft. Individual registration keys are only $9.95. This allows you to use BriefClips without limitation and upgrade to minor version releases free until the next major version release.
